Guys, really, chill ... your tiny bitch tantrums are starting to only very thinly veil your weak sense of masculinity. All the more funny because that's exactly what this film is about. I hope you realize that the more you guys cry like babies about imagined 'agendas' and 'propaganda', the more empowered we feel to prove you wrong. So, do continue to spread this foolish hate if you want, just know you're fueling the fire ;) - This movie was aces by the way. Not afraid to muck about in moral gray areas and it was really tense as far as the 'revenge' part of the movie goes.

You just have to laugh at these homophobic comments at this point. I mean, how f*ing threatened can you feel by someone else's sexuality?! Calling it propaganda even. What propaganda would that be? Acceptance and love for all? @unruly-flat-earth. Just as not all Germans were Nazi's, not all Jews are pro-Israel. I think it's more important to focus on (B list) celebs such as Debra Messing who are openly supporting Israel and its Zionist propaganda, while denying there's a genocide going on at all. In that respect: I also saw someone deny the Holocaust happened in another reaction - which is just as dimwitted (and illegal) as the Zionists not realizing they've turned into their own worst enemies. But at least I'm happy we finally agree on 'something' ;)

Because you seem to bash on anything that promotes love (whatever kind), compassion, understanding. So is it just the kind of relentless brain-bashing, head-caving, gun toting John Wick-style action you prefer? As you seem to resent anything that promotes broad thinking and acceptance, but you're under the impression that this divisive and violent world needs MORE of what makes it that violent and cruel ... I'm confused and curious as to what your less than brilliant mind is preoccupied with.

@Friend of David - I'd agree with you, if it weren't for the fact that a lot of people on here actively seek out to react to the posting of a movie and its 'supposed' values (tainted by whatever political convictions they may have) INSTEAD of actually reviewing the movie. Any film that might be even in the slightest linked to any LGBTQ theme will be targeted and subjected to a load of brain farts in the comments. If those movies aren't your thing: don't watch them? don't click on them? don't download them? it's the active spreading of hate-speech that needs to be controlled. Rules of law don't cease to exist just because it's the internet (and an illegal download site) ;)

Same way I don't watch every heteronormative romcom or dumb mouth-breather action flick that's released specifically tailored so YOU won't get offended by seeing a different kind of love / representation on screen.

might be the first time when I disagree with LadyJ on something haha - this movie had the blessing and cooperation of the man's kids. something doesn't become anti semitic just because you didn't appreciate a certain approach. It serves no purpose to get offended FOR someone else, I thought the movie was a decent look at the man's personal life (with only a side eye towards his achievements) - maybe a bit too showy and angling for Oscars in the beginning.

@Psychopaul: when reviews center on one's personal beliefs instead of the actual movie, and people start attacking very simple progressive issues such as diversity ... how could you NOT take it personally? @KyGun could've said 'bad movie, not my cup of tea' but no, he specifically revealed his (bigoted) colors - so I think LadyJ's assessment isn't too far from the truth. Frustrated individuals lacking any relevance or purpose in life will lash out online in any way they can + they're unable to process any pushback without victimizing themselves, expressly becoming the type of snowflakes they so easily rant against because something in a 'fictional' work rubs them the wrong way. It's sad really.

The Royal Hotel (2023)

Saw this at my local filmfestival. It's quite alright (keeps the dread felt throughout) - just don't expect any big thriller narrative ... because there's just no story beyond the fact that these two female tourists are harassed in the middle of nowhere.

Retribution (2023)

@asmusmecif I saw the Korean version, which was pretty decent. Though apparently that was also a remake of the Spanish original?? I should look it up :D there's also a German remake
