Great 'careful what you wish for' psychological horror film. As someone has already mentioned, it is a bit reminiscent of The Monkeys Paw and a few other well-known themes will crop up here and there. The lead character known as Bear (Andy Richter) wasn't bad, but he was completely out acted by the object of his desire Nikki (Inde Navarrette) who gives a fabulous, disturbing and frightening performance all at the same time. The film is dark most of the time and the ambient music is atmospherically creepy. It is shot in an odd 1.50:1 aspect ratio with black bars on either side. I really wish the industry would stick to 16:9 as that is the ratio of our televisions and what it will be viewed on most of the time. The file I downloaded had an ever so slight jitter in motion every 15 to 20 seconds, noticeable when the camera panned but did not distract from the story. Recommended for a good and somewhat unsettling experience.
