Epic movie with a great direction and fabulous acting. Love that "old way cinema" with Vistavision and intermission. In some theaters in 70mm...will win a lot of Awards (already did).
What a great NO-COMIC movie this is. How bad people drive someone to insanity and violence. The songs are perfect inserted in the whole psychodrama. Not for silly comic-bookfans; for adults only !!!
Great take on the "vampire-momie". All about hof far a mother's love can/will do. MICHELLE MONAGHAN elevates this movie all by herself. More a drama and NO, this is NOT about drug-addiction.
This is exactly what to expect from the director of "St-Maud". A history of love and violence with a lot of "noir" and "fantasy". Excellent acting and great score by Clint Mansell.
Another masterpiece by Scorsese. Great photography, sound, music, top acting. Shame how those Native-Americans (still today) are murdered for the greed of America...the land of the "brave"...
Must be even greater to see this live, but director Wrench brings it perfect. The decoration, the multiple camerashots and the great, fascination of that talented singer. Taylor Swift belongs with the greatest...WOWOWOWOW
Expected a lot more from great director Todd Haynes ("Carol"-"Far from heaven"). Maybe because it's just a "netflixer". So much more in this script is left "unhandled". A tv-movie, nothing more although Portman/Moore make a tremendous duo. The BEST is that hauntng piano-theme from Michel Legrand of the Losey-movie "The Go-Between.
Gareth EDWARDS is a great director when it comes to make sci-fi/fantasy movies. He showes it's once more in this one. Style, direction, acting are perfect BUT ALAS he fails when it comes to the script. I get it with that message of peace (so very much needed in these days of war all over the planet). It seems the scriptriders of "Matrix"-"Blade Runner"-"Terminator"-"Ghost in the Shell"-"Star Wars" and even "Gladiator"(end-scene)could mix their "thing" and spoiled this movie. Such a pity !
