Narrated over the silent pictures. Watched with audio muted. This is Stan Laurel on his own prior to the introduction of Oliver Hardy. Good but not as good as the 2 together. They had a chemistry between them never equalled since.
What a good film this is! Impeccable story with very credible characters. Super acting. Once again Refro showed what a good actor he was. Shame he died so young at age 25. Another one as a result of a heroin overdose. Yet he had had such a splendid start at age 12 with a stellar performance in his debut film, John Grisham's "The Client (1994)" with Susan Sarandon.
Story about a dysfunctional gay couple, one domineering, selfish and egocentric; the other totally submissive. A study in mental sadism and emotional masochism. Not particular good or interesting. I saw it to the end because I was curious as to how they would end up. No surprises in the ending.
I enjoyed this. It's good and gives some explanation how Robin Hood became a legend. Partly true or totally false, I don't know but all the characters in the legend are there. Let's just say, it's credible.
I enjoyed for the London of the 1960's and for the long line of well-known and soon-to-be known appearances of several actresses. The story is slight but still quite pleasant.
