One of Del Toro's best films. He grokked the novel and tried to remain faithful to it. If people don't enjoy it, it's more about not like the story in general. Mary-Shelly's "Frankenstein" really isn't for everyone.
Oy vey, what a tale! In this silent world, it's like we're all mutes at a kosher deli - nobody's talking, but the action's hotter than a plate of matzo ball soup! We got this female-led crew, like a bunch of bubbes with attitude, tracking down this young woman Azrael. She's a real schlemiel, escaping from imprisonment, but these ladies are on her like a swarm of yiddishe vippers at a blood drive!
Dennis Quaid is a guy I used to really admire. But the SOB now endorses the devil incarnate, the orange mongoloid - Trump. There's only a broiges between him and I. From which we can never come back. Quaid must be a meshuggeneh.
Of course it wasn't "suicide." That's what the kids are calling it nowadays. How could he hang himself when he was supposedly on a 24-hour suicide watch? The mind boggles. Could it be that he had enough dirt on the world's ruling elite that they couldn't risk letting the cat out of the bag?
