I liked but...the leads were a bad casting. I loved Wagner Moura in Narcos, brilliant.. but this he just mumbles and it's hard to hear what he's actually saying. The lead woman, never heard off, she was ok but at times way off cue. Otherwise it was a good watch.
Ok. Let's get it straight out there. There are going to be WOKE HATERS. Yes its all that blah blah blah, but this is actually a friggin great series. Right in your face no bull about it. All the parts were played to perfection and the story, I'm still not 100% if it's true or not, was shocking. Put your beliefs, homophobia and your ho-hums behind you and watch it!!
Yeh it's all beautifully shot and Australian filmmakers love using the errie backdrop of the diverse landscapes accompanied with dreary music but that's not the only thing that makes a film, especially a supposedly thriller, which mind you, is not. This is a slow burn with not a great deal happening, just people screaming a kids name for nearly the entire movie. Unfortunately as an Aussie myself, sometimes we try too hard in competing with Hollywood and it just doesn't work.
I like the story so far, the acting however is a bit amateurish..but it's enjoyable enough..ok after finishing it..it's not that good and quite boring and made no sense towards the end.
