I'm rating it on the Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%. I'm sorry, but those are reviews from critics who don't want to been seen slagging off the ethnic people. From my completely impartial view - the acting is mediocre, dialogue poor, the direction is lazy and a storyline you've seen hundreds of times before.
I suppose if you're under 30 it's passable. Lord knows who told Rami Malek he could act - same character as always. As is Fishburne. The first 45 minutes are totally implausible but you can shrug it off. But the last hour is utter tripe. And they fiddled a terrible ending to make The Amateur 2. The title says it all.
I think this got 90+% on Tomatoes. I'm baffled to be honest. The critics must judge films in a different way to me. I suppose the character study and acting is very good but that's just not enough. Or is it?
Another elf-sized anorexic 45-kilo woman duffing up chaps twice her size. I skipped through it in 5 minutes just to get to the laugh scenes. It's tripe. As you'd expect.
High production but with unnecessary, non-representative woke and some either dreadful over-acting or poor acting. If there is absolutely NOTHING ELSE to watch (and you've re-watched all your favourite films) then this will pass a few hours. Otherwise, don't bother.
Won't go into detail, but this rates in my top 3 of all-time dreadful movies. It really is atrocious. Unless, that is, you want to see a London black cab driving around the streets in the middle of the night with a 5 minute tag-on plot. It really is that awful.
First episode was ok 7/10. Then it was just drivel from then on for the next 5 episodes. I know the actors can only follow the poor script and below average direction, so you have to let them off for that while making a crust. But it is mind-numbingly dull and unintentionally funny.
