Hadn't heard of this film, but I recognized Danielle Deadwyler in the poster and am checking it out. If anyone reads this, watch the hbo max adaptation of "Station Eleven" - Danielle Deadwyler was so good in that miniseries.
The story behind Waitress is really interesting. Im not a fan of musicals but I wanted to check it out because i had watched a documentary on Adrienne Shelly awhile back, I admire Sarah Bareilles, and i knew one of the cast members a long time ago. It wasn't my cup of tea, but If you like musicals, you'll probably enjoy it. If not, i'd recommend checking out the original movie The Waitress or the HBO documentary on Adrienne Shelly.
@winnougan I see you commenting on several videos. You know the nice thing about torrent and streaming sites is you can find what you actually like to watch. Something tells me you just comment on new movies without having any interest in actually viewing them
I watched season 1 when it aired and have watched the entire season at least once a year since then and know it intimitely. Theres a lot of things that make season 1 as special as it is, one of which is the setting in the louisiana bayou and the saturation of it. This is the biggest reason i'm enjoying season 4 so much: the night country setting carrying that focus while making it polar opposite (pun intended). I see a lot of typical comments here about the new season being woke but i don't agree. The two lead characters are realistic, flawed and unlikeable by design of the story being told. Can't judge the season until its over, but so far, im enjoying the vibe and creative succession of the series under the new writer.
Ive read all the reviews for this movie and understand why some people may not like it. There is little in this movie that is new or original. But what made this film so great to me is how Gareth Edwards captures the relationship between humans and ai/robots. Its not that he makes the robots feel real, but he makes our interactions with them feel real and visceral to where you empathize with them. This movie is worth a watch either way.
If not, i'd recommend checking out the original movie The Waitress or the HBO documentary on Adrienne Shelly.
