Incredibly scary movie if you turn out the lights and turn up the audio. Listen, I've seen everything. Probably every mainstream horror movie that exists and a hell of a lot of indie horror. This is a good one, it's actually creepy. I'm not one to fall for the gore and CGI, I want something that will creep it's way under my skin and then burrow. Something that will gnaw at my bones for awhile you know? I'm sick of copy/paste formulas, I need that fresh air, and today.. this is it.
Do you like semi-witty humor, a heavily suspended sense of reality (you're to believe this is set in the real world, yet people do things that would never happen), incredibly shaky camera work (think Blair Witch Project), and 80's/90's references? If you answered no to any of those things, this movie isn't for you. I've never seen a movie this niche, rated so highly on IMDb. To each their own but there's no way this is an 8.4 on IMDb. If you consult IMDb on the regular, this is something that would normally be in the 5.0 - 6.0 range and I happened to actually enjoy some of the dialogue. They must have a lot of dedicated friends and cast.
hey @spideracer211 and abenamu - If you're so opposed to the movies historical accuracy, enlighten us. What is wrong with the movie that was different in the real life events? All you're doing right now is sounding like every other complaining troll without facts to back up their big a$$ mouths. So, do something about it and teach people instead of being a mouth that can't cash the checks it's writing.
Zoltar's just pissed the main character is a lesbian. Decent little scary flick, fun for a watch! EDIT (3/9/26): Zoltar, honestly if the main character were straight, would you agree it's fun for a single watch? Sure, it's not a masterpiece, but damn it.. it's entertaining imo!! Come to the light side Zoltar!! Also big sidenote: Does anyone here know Jaxe from TGx or Thawn? I used to have such entertaining conversations with them. We didn't see eye to eye every time, but having a different perspective with intelligent thought behind it was great. Donno if anyone knows, or cares, I was TOSgravely on TGx though and I miss the peeps there as well as the reputation system!! This site is the GOAT so far for having everything you're looking for in one spot though, love it!
it's actually good, damn it. Great review @nick-adventure! I agree with you.. I saw the runtime and almost fainted, but decided to go for it because I'm a documentary hound. Worth it.
