A nice little thriller that takes place in the 1930s or 40s, the shark scenes work well because i dont spot any use of CGI. i liked the actors and characters. 7/10
the best part of the film was the first hour, with the great narraration that reminded me of stand by me and it, but then that is gone for the last half, it ultimately is a monkey final destination. which is okay with me, im borderline recommending it.
So much better than the original. the original is so overrated, but it was an ugly looking film and i absolutely agreed with Roger Ebert's review of the original gladiator. that said... i liked these characters, the storyline, the action, other than the usual cgi complaints, this film is alot better than part 1, and as its own is entertaining if you havent seen the original.
Entertaining. im glad i ignored the hate eventually watched it. i liked some of the characters alot, i was interested in the story. it was a fun film. dont believe the hate. and i dont like many comic book films at all.
What a let down this was. im sorry but the lead actor has no charisma at all. there's not much interesting here, I expected more from the director of Upgrade and The Invisible Man.
this film was bad, predictable, dull characters. for a similar style but much better outcome check out My Bloody Valentine (og and remake), as well as the underrated Valentine (2001)
