Smart and complex. This storyline has a massive arc with multiple timelines that could have gotten lost in the details but in the end [or the beginning?] was told with enough skill to keep the tension high and me wanting more. Glad the cowboy wasn't Raylan Givens, this guy's way more entertaining.

I really liked this. The whole Demi God cult thing was hilarious. Intentional low budget look, but they don't slack on the intelligent jokes. It's 'Before Sunset', but in space.

Considering the subject matter, I wanted to love this. I thought the bomb, the whole build up to it, the longest fuse in history, fizzled out. Watching documentary footage of these things is awe inspiring, truly the scariest thing we have created yet [or then], but this movie barely moved the Richter scale for me. It was like watching the fire works in New Zealand then seeing the fire works in Japan and wondering, why can't we do that? I know why, NZ has no money, but for Nolan's Hollywood millions, I was left wanting more than I got. The personalities who were in it, or barely in it, was a wasted opportunity. Albert Einstein was never more peripheral and Matt Damon ever less interesting. There are lots of stand out performances though, Pugh and Blunt are excellent. Just my 2 cents, and with the exchange rate, my 2 cents is barely a penny's worth.

There's a thing in American movies where 2 people are speaking on the phone and one of them hangs up without saying goodbye, they just hang up, there's no mutual social cue, but one of them hangs up with mystic foresight that the conversation is over. My problem with this movie, is that this is the visual equivalent of that phone call. For example: a scene in the film is a room filled with journalists from the New York Times, there are maybe 4 or 5 people speaking one at a time to the rest of the people in the room. They speak seemingly randomly, nobody knows which one will speak next or when but, as with the phone psychic, they magically know when to stop and the other immediately starts, with no social cues given, they don't even watch the others to see when they have concluded a sentence, it's all rapid fire talking, maybe to give the illusion of spontaneity, but it is so obviously scripted with zero cross over talk. For me, it has all the spontaneity of a power point presentation.

What a bunch of weird comments. Anyway, couldn't continue to watch this because the characters were so thoroughly unlikeable. I hope that the ending was more interesting than the trip there. I couldn't place the country, looked too dry to be Britain though the holiday destination was packed full of them like a debauched episode of Hi-de-Hi. I have no problem with the subject matter, it is after all - film, but the inane blathering of the teens was too much [or little] for me to invest in. I must be getting old. Oh, it was Greece.

My ex girlfriend left me for an Anchovy [true story]. Oh the movie. For me, because of a reveal so early in the movie's plot, there were no surprises after that, no mystery to work out, or even offered. It was made apparent who the antagonist is and because of this, everything after it felt rushed and unrealistic. It reminded me of a better film that a certain actor [lets call him.. fatt daemon], did a long time ago. Good cast, but for me a wasted opportunity.

I agree with SerialKillerJTR, I downloaded 5 versions of the film from 1080p to 4k and they were all 'fuzzy'. In one scene, Allison Janey's face was almost indiscernible because of all the noise.

I don't know if these people are part of the local community theatre group but whoever they are, they deserve credit for putting together an often humourous, well delivered tongue in cheek B movie on a budget. I watched as a last resort to solve my insomnia problem, but it was entertaining enough to keep me awake at 3am [eternal]
